Klaus Uuno Suomela (last name until 1906 Lindholm , November 10, 1888 in Porvoo – April 4, 1962 Helsinki ) was a Finnish gymnast, physical educator, doctor of philosophy, and sports writer. he was a co-founder in 1917 of the Helsinki Suojeluskuntas and a Battalion commander in the Civil War. Between 1918-1931 he was a lecturer at the University of Helsinki, also gymnastics instructor to 1955. He wrote the play, Hopeakihlajaiset which was made into a film in 1942.
